I hope everyone has been out on their bikes. It is already the middle of the riding season – we need to ride while the weather permits.
With that in mind it looks like Sunday will be a great day for a ride into the Catskill Mountains. The ride will be leaving from the Pilot on Route 7 near the exit of I88 where it intersects with the Thruway.
We will be meeting at 9:00 AM with kickstands up at 9:30 AM. The address for the Pilot is 1128 Duanesburg Road, Rotterdam, NY 12306.
From the Pilot we will take a few roads to head down Route 32 for the first stop at the Stewart’s in Greenville. From Greenville, we will continue down Route 32 until we can follow Route 23 up and over the mountain into Windham where will take a left over the mountain into Hunter. In Hunter, there will be a short stop at the Valero across from Hunter Mountain. After a brief rest, we will head south on 214 to have lunch at Brios Pizza in Phoenicia. After lunch we will head on Route 28 for a ways until we head north on route 42 and back onto route 23A and 23. In Grand Gorge there will be a stop at the Grand Gorge Country Store before we continiue to head north on Route 30 through the Schoharie Valley with a short stop in Middleburg. We will then continue North on Route 30 until we reach Route 7. We will then follow Route 7 back to the Pilot.
The ride is approximately 178 miles long with about 4 hours of ride time. With stops and lunch, I am estimating to be back to the Pilot at approximately 4:30 PM.

I hope to ride with all of you and hope to see you Sunday even though this is a late notice.
